Aidan Attends NY Premiere of ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

Earlier this evening, December 6th, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey held its first stateside premiere — in New York. At the Ziegfeld Theatre, numerous cast and crew from the impressively-sized ensemble showed up, including Aidan Turner. Others in attendance included Elijah Wood (Frodo), Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Liv Tyler (Arwen), Martin Freeman (Bilbo), Andy Serkis (Gollum), Richard Armitage (Thorin Oakenshield), Dean O’Gorman (Fili), Adam Brown (Ori), Lee Pace (Thranduil), Archie Panjabi, Terry O’Quinn, Patrick Stewart, and director Peter Jackson.

  1. Seriously? You don’t KNOW the names of the actors. GRAHAM MCTAVISH (DWALIN) has been Twittering for 3-4 days about going to the NYC premiere. I have raved how he’s as good looking AS Pat Stewart and Ben Kingsley BUT YOU JUST CALLED HIM PATRICK STEWART?? and if for some reason Sir Stewart Really was there, why didn’t you list or see McTavish as he DID attend?! Man that’s F’d up.

What is your problem? Patrick Stewart WAS at the premiere, as I reported: “others in attendance.” No, I didn’t list everyone who was there (as there was a lot), but Patrick is a friend and huge supporter of Sir Ian McKellen so I felt his name was noteworthy to share.

I didn’t even see Graham’s name listed on the photo agency’s site when I initially posted. In fact, I just checked, and there are no pictures of him at the event — only the after-party.
