Our first film still of Aidan Turner in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has hit the web. Entertainment Weekly published several stills from the movie on their website, so head over there and check them out for a better look at the upcoming epic. (There’s another view of the dwarves in their barrels.) Hopefully larger, better quality images will soon surface as well.
Dean O’Gorman (a.k.a. Fili, Aidan Turner’s co-star in The Hobbit) now has an art exhibit up and running at the Page Blackie Gallery in Wellington, New Zealand. The c-type photographs on display show men in army uniforms, looking battered from war experience — and one of those models is Aidan himself. Check out more of Dean’s work here (and look for the other Hobbit co-star in the mix).
As a side-note: ATO would like to wish Aidan Turner a very happy 29th birthday!
Nineteen “new” pictures have been added to the gallery, featuring Aidan Turner alongside his “Being Human” co-stars, Lenora Crichlow and Russell Tovey. It’s from an old photo shoot that was already uploaded to ATO, but the gallery wasn’t hosting the entire set. Unfortunately, although the photographs are very large and of great quality, they do have a subtle tag. I hope you enjoy regardless.
A few images featuring Aidan Turner performing on stage have been added to the gallery. There are two from his 2005 run as Hercules in Yokohama Delegation, as well as two from 2007′s Cyrano. They’re pretty great quality, too. Enjoy!
I’ve added three HQ “Being Human” episode stills to the gallery that weren’t previously available. They’re from the first series. Additionally, I’ve revamped Aidan Turner Online’s career portion of the site, which now includes a list of stage productions Aidan’s been involved with and detailed information on his film and TV history. Specifically, there’s a comprehensive episode guide for “Being Human,” and I’ll be working on adding quotes in the coming days. Enjoy!
The first Hobbit production video of 2012 has finally been posted — and there’s good news: Aidan Turner is featured in it! Not much – as the primary focus is on the various locations used for shooting – but he does briefly chat on camera with umbrella in hand, talking about the weather alongside co-star, Dean O’Gorman (AKA Fili). He can also be seen in some wider action shots with the dwarves. Some screen caps have been added to the gallery, and you can watch the video below:
On January 24th, Aidan Turner showed up at DSTRKT London to support fellow star of The Hobbit, Luke Evans. They were photographed together at the launch party of Police Eyewear, a line of sunglasses with trademark blue lens.
Luke himself was being honored at the event, in celebration of his recent signing as the UK brand ambassador. Aidan’s previous “Being Human” co-star, Russell Tovey, was also in attendance. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find any pictures of them together, but there is one of Aidan and Luke that has now been added to the gallery.
Just over a week ago, an image of Aidan Turner in character as The Hobbit‘s Kili was finally revealed. Now, a group shot featuring all thirteen dwarves featured in the upcoming film has been released. It’s nothing fans haven’t seen before, but it’s still exciting seeing them all comprehensive photo.
Peter Jackson has been too kind to fans anticipating The Hobbit, releasing yet another Production Video online! This one goes deeper into the characters of the series and features new guests (like our very own Aidan Turner) along with some recognizable faces (Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellan, and a special surprise at the end). It’s actually quite funny, especially when the bearded dwarves comment on Aidan’s “boy band” looks. Check out screen caps in the gallery, or view the video below:
Here’s a very funny video featuring some of the lovely dwarves from The Hobbit, including Aidan Turner. It was filmed a few months back as a benefit for Christchurch. In it, they joke around with the costumes for the film, including flimsy beards and rosy makeup. Thank you to Geneva and Sian, who both alerted ATO to the video!
