A new production video for The Hobbit has recently been released, this one focusing on the various locations of the film. It looks like a lot of work traveling all over New Zealand – from studios to specific landscapes – just to capture Middle Earth perfectly! Like all the other production videos, it’s really engaging and worth checking out if you’re at all interested in behind the scenes footage (regardless of whether the actors are featured). The dwarves are briefly featured in it, but there is no particular highlight on Aidan Turner this time around. Enjoy!
At long last, the first trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has finally been released! This is a bit of a “teaser,” giving a great glimpse at the Tolkien world as directed by Peter Jackson. Aidan Turner is featured in it a couple of times, including an exciting action shot and an introduction to his character. The first part of The Hobbit will be released in both US and UK theaters on December 14, 2012.
After many months of silence on The Hobbit front, a new production video has finally been released! Aidan Turner is briefly featured in this one, specifically during an action shot with fellow dwarves. (Nothing is particularly spoiler-y.) The majority of the video is about filming in 3D, which – although I’m not a fan of the medium – is described in such understandable detail. You really start to appreciate just how much work goes into making this film. So while production video number four is very technical in its content, it’s definitely worth checking out — especially if you’re specifically interested in details on how movies are made. Enjoy!
Peter Jackson has been too kind to fans anticipating The Hobbit, releasing yet another Production Video online! This one goes deeper into the characters of the series and features new guests (like our very own Aidan Turner) along with some recognizable faces (Cate Blanchett, Ian McKellan, and a special surprise at the end). It’s actually quite funny, especially when the bearded dwarves comment on Aidan’s “boy band” looks. Check out screen caps in the gallery, or view the video below:
Here’s a very funny video featuring some of the lovely dwarves from The Hobbit, including Aidan Turner. It was filmed a few months back as a benefit for Christchurch. In it, they joke around with the costumes for the film, including flimsy beards and rosy makeup. Thank you to Geneva and Sian, who both alerted ATO to the video!
Earlier his year, Peter Jackson posted a video featuring The Hobbit and the beginning of its production. The video features multiple aspects about the film, including stunts, props, costumes, and sets. Aidan Turner is featured when they block a scene, showing all the actors preparing for where they’ll stand when they start filming. Check out the video below:
